One of the most heartwarming things about the world of kilt tailoring is the unexpected family that grows around this wonderful heritage craft.
During two weeks in October, several students at the College of Master Kilt Tailors are congregating around the stitching table and hearth as they visit Marion, the founder of the College. They are from England and the USA and have somehow managed to coordinate their calendars and responsibilities to come to Scotland to explore the textiles and traditions of Scotland.
Learning about kilt tailoring and the wider crafts that surround it is invaluable. The added bonus of meeting with fellow enthusiasts and future tailors is priceless.
