The College of Master Kilt Tailors has been a unique learning endeavor! Through Marion’s instruction, I have expanded my knowledge of tailoring. The college promotes much more than the production of kilts as it fosters camaraderie amongst fellow students and preserves highland culture. It provides the freedom to express yourself through the work you complete. The greatest takeaway from the College of Master Kilt Tailors has been the commitment to truly mastering a craft and carrying the elements of master craftsmanship into other aspects of my life.

I am thoroughly enjoying my studies with The College of Master Kilt Tailors. The course is excellent and our trainer, Marion Foster, is exceedingly generous of spirit, possessing patience and humility that belies her years of experience. As a student, I have learned both from Marion and my fellow students and on occasion, I have also been able to help guide others as they join the courses after me. We learn not only about the tailoring of the kilt but also about wider heritage crafts and Scottish history, which is a fascinating part of this wonderful course. I highly recommend it to people who want to learn to tailor kilts, but also expand their knowledge in other, connected ways.
